This revision is based on updates to PMI®’s Role Delineation Study (RDS) regarding the professional role of a PMP® credential holder.
- In www.pmguruonline.com the contents of the two Full Length Tests (FLT) have been changed based on the new requirements.
- For users who have attempted the FLT section prior to 31August 2011: Your old FLT data has been deleted and the time spent by you in answering the old FLT questions has been credited back to your account.
- All users who have already completed the FLT’s are requested to re-do the two sets.
What the change from 31 Aug 2011 means for PMP® aspirants:
PMI®’s Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct has been integrated into the day-to-day role of a project manager, emphasizing its importance in each phase of the project lifecycle.
- The Professional & Social Responsibility content will now be tested in each domain instead of as a separate domain as was earlier done.
Due to this integration of Professional and Social Responsibility into the other topics the distribution of questions in each domain has changed as follows: |

| Change in Delivery of Exam Results |
| |
There will be a 4–6 week period between taking the examination and receiving the results via email. |
| |
- Candidates who take the updated examination on/after 31 August will not receive immediate results at the Prometric testing center. They can expect to receive their examination results by mid-October.
- Each PMP® candidate will receive a communication to notify them when their results are available at PMI.org.

| Changes to the PMP Application |
| |
For candidates who are getting ready to apply for the PMP® , the application will be updated to reflect the current role of the project manager revealed in the new RDS. |
| |
- In the past, PMI® has required candidates to track and report their hours of experience leading and directing projects for each task within the RDS.
- On 31 August, PMI will update the PMP® application to require candidates to track and report their hours for each domain (process group) within the RDS.
- Any candidates who have an application in progress at the time the change is made will have their experience hours migrated to the new application, so that no data is lost.
