No. All of us intuitively realize that no such system exists in reality. Referring back to the "chain" analogy, it's only logical to assume that when we strengthen what was once the weakest link, the next weakest link will show itself. For example, an organization's constraint will shift over time, whether it be from manufacturing to the distribution of finished goods, or from production to design engineering, or in the market with the ability to get more sales - virtually anywhere along the entire supply chain. The only relevant questions become: "What is the next constraint?" and "When do we need to address the new constraint?" |
